PLEASE HELP w/ NURSINg!?

OKay I am wanting to take my test in January to try to get into a one year LPN school. Until then I am wanting to take cles @ college so that when I get out of nursing school and work for a bit I can go into the ADN or RN program. Or do I have to have the ADN before the RN program? I really need help on this. I have heard different things,..which is better to have..what to do after LPN? HELP!
