Are there any girls left who aren't materialistic?

I'm 26, and it seems like I remember girls being sweet and thoughtful when I was a kid. Now it's just "mmmm, he's broke? Get rid of him, girl..." or girls putting up a huge fence where they are emotionless. Is anyone at this age still sweet and thoughtful, or should I accept the fact that older people are just more bitter?
