Isn't the Republican party doomed if Sarah Palin is their future?

I am a Republican, were she to get the nomination in 2012 I will actually vote for Obama. If she is considered seriously for the nomination, the Republican Party has just acquiesced to becoming a minority party for several generations. So yes, the Republicans are doomed if she is our future. We need someone who is intelligent and reasonable and can convey coherent ideas in a coherent fashion. Palin is none of those.
